The Moore Clinic, located at Johns Hopkins Hospital, is dedicated to the comprehensive evaluation and treatment of patients with HIV infection. Infectious disease specialists, as well as specialists in dermatology, psychiatry, gynecology, and nutrition, provide a multidisciplinary, coordinated approach to medical care to maximize the health and well being of our patients. Nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, and social workers also contribute to the total care environment.

Within this setting, Drs. Justin McArthur and Ned Sacktor provide consultation and management for patients with neurological disorders related to HIV infection. Conditions such as HIV dementia, HIV-associated peripheral neuropathy, progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy, and other opportunistic processes are evaluated. Thorough neurological examination and history, as well as neuropsychological testing and referral for imaging studies and other diagnostic procedures, are provided for assessment and diagnosis. Appropriate treatment is initiated and coordinated.
