HOW YOU CAN SUPPORT OUR RESEARCH
Our research programs rely on the support of state and federal grants, but also on the generosity of individual donors. Donations for research support of chronic pelvic and chronic urogenital pain have often lagged behind donations for research concerning other diseases. One of the reasons might be that these chronic pain syndromes afflict an area of the body that is considered taboo in our society. Quite understandably patients are more embarrassed to discuss these health problems than health issues concerning any other areas of the body.
People often ask how they can help to support our research efforts. If you
desire to help, you can make a tax deductible donation in any amount by
contacting the Fund for Johns Hopkins Medicine, Office of Development for
Psychiatry and the Clinical Neurosciences at 410-516-6250.
You can also mail your donation to the address below:
The Fund for Johns Hopkins Medicine Neurology Development, Suite 408B
Research Fund - Dr. Ursula Wesselmann
1 Charles Center
100 N. Charles Street
Baltimore, MD 21201
You can designate your donation to Dr. Wesselmann's research fund in general, or you can specifically earmark your donation for (1) research on chronic pelvic pain, (2) research on interstitial cystitis, (3) research on chronic urogenital pain in general, (4) research on chronic urogenital pain - vulvodynia.
