This case is a 46-year-old gentleman with an 8-year history of Parkinson's disease. His PD began with tremor in the left arm and dragging of the left foot. After several years of medical treatment, he presented with motor fluctuations, freezing, and dyskinesias. Placement of staged bilateral STN-DBS was performed in August, 2000 (right side) and in April, 2001 (left side). These videos were taken during post-operative follow-up for programming. The videos demonstrate the patient walking with the stimulators turned off (left video) and with the stimulators turned on (right video).
